Blind to the Truth

“Where’d you guys go?”

The sudden silence was getting nerve-racking. Mega Man’s ears were ringing as if they were trying to make some noise to fill the gap. And for a moment the blackness around him was again suffocating, as if it was going to close in on him.

Since he was unable to see anything, Mega Man had to rely on other senses. He turned and started following the wall beside him away from the alcove, searching for an opening. He listened intently for any sign of Kevin or Break Man, but his ears could not hear the pit in front of him. Before he knew what was happening, he had tumbled off the edge.
