Mega Man sat on the top step of a rusted flight of stairs, his folded arms resting on his knees as he stared out over the dull, distant lights of an unfamiliar city. He stayed there, motionless, for quite some time.
He finally turned his head as Signal stepped up quietly behind him, his feet clanging hollowly against the metal roof. His hair swirled in the breeze, streaming around him in ribbons turned to wisps of silver by the moon.
“We’re really lost, aren’t we,” Mega Man said, dropping his chin onto his folded arms.
